AZEROTH FIELDGUIDE

WoW Forever systems explained

An overview of Camping, Legacy progression, realm rules, appearance choices and the announced approach to combat.

Announced systems · Beta values may change. No live build verification is claimed.

Camping & professions

Campfires become shared stopping places, with crafted objects adding benefits and services. Professions receive more than 600 recipes. This is a social system, not simply a replacement button for food buffs.

Legacy progression

Challenges award points shared across alternate characters, while each character allocates points separately. The announced launch limits are 16 spent and 65 earned. Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness are the starting trees.

Choosing your ruleset

Players select Normal, PvP or Roleplaying rather than a traditional realm list. Hardcore is planned after launch. Cross-ruleset and cross-faction groups are not supported. Two-part character names are part of this design.

Combat, appearances & classes

Control and threat remain important. Players can disable transmog visibility. Six added combinations are Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock and Undead Paladin.

How to use this overview

These are announced design details, not our own client tests. A later build can change mechanics or limits. Check the source before making a permanent character decision; we do not publish a class ranking without reproducible testing.
